Conservatorship & Guardianship

Meridian Services, Incorporated provides private conservatorship and guardianship services to people with disabilities. Meridian Services has over twenty years experience providing Case Management and licensed services to individuals with developmental disabilities. Our professional staff members are knowledgeable of services, supports and systems for individuals with disabilities.

Our Guardianship Philosophy

Meridian Services embraces the progressive philosophies of the self-determination movement. These include person-centered planning, assisted competence, and alternatives to full guardianship.

Our approach to limiting decision-making is based on the principle of the least restrictive alternative.

Our practices include respectfully learning the individual's preferences, eliciting their wishes and dreams, soliciting input from family and other caring persons and carefully balancing risks and the person's best interests.

Our Professional Standards

Our staff members practice guardianship in accordance with the National Guardianship Association's Standards of Practice and Model Code of Ethics. Our policies, procedures and training are based on these guidelines.

Meridian Services is a member of the National Guardianship Association, the Minnesota Guardianship Association, the Center for Self-Determination and the Minnesota ARC.
